Green Lantern
Soooo hated the original teaser trailer - was like they were aiming for a 6 year old audience.
Soooo loved the final trailer that came out - was like they’d decided not to aim for a 6 year old audience.
The movie itself is in my opinion one of the first superhero DC crossovers that actually aims to be “fun” - not broody (badman), not taking itself too seriously (superman), not shit (Jonah Hex & Catwoman) - and for my money, it succeeds. The story moves apace, and delivers a whole backstory without impacting the “frontstory” which is what’s happening in the here and now.
Mostly great affects (though the Paralax face is kinda cringeworthy), great story, Reynolds & Robins & etc all do a decent enough job of being suitably comicesque in the delivery of their roles, and a nice little ending for all the 6 year olds in the room.
Was in a rush so didn’t wait to see if there was anything after the credits… But I hope that Sinestro put the yellow ring of fear on. I just hope he did.
